The carbon fiber case, never before used in watchmaking, provides an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, borrowed from Oris' Formula 1 team partner Williams. The carbon fiber center case is twice as strong and five times lighter than stainless steel (7.2g). Incredibly, the production process does not require an additional metal envelope to complement or ensure water resistance.
